Over the past 8 years of training and dieting, I've tried countless different methods of suppressing appetite, controlling cravings, and mitigating urges. And there is 1 specific thing I've learned that will skyrocket your chances of sticking to your diet and getting ripped. Do Not Buy Food That Isn't On Your Diet Plan Many guys who are trying to get shredded by following a very strict diet, still have junk food lying around their house or sitting in their pantry. It can be very difficult to stick to your diet when you feel borderline starving and there's a box of cookies in your cupboard or a bag of chips on the counter. If it isn't a clean food that is in your diet, DON'T BUY IT! It's exponentially easier to not cheat on your diet if the food you would cheat with isn't in your house. While this may not be the easiest thing to do for those who don't live alone, I still highly suggest you purge your house of as much of the junk food as possible. Even though I may come across as the poster boy of sticking to a strict diet, I am human and do cave in once in a while and screw up my diet by raiding the pantry and indulging when I shouldn't. I don't do it often because I've gotten better at self control over the years, but it still happens. The best thing I ever decided was to not have that kind of food in my house when I'm trying to diet. The only time junk food can enter the premises is for my cheat meal that I allot myself once per week. Sometimes it's the simplest things that are game changers that will make or break your success.
